Artist History An underground cult metal act, the band has released three CD's on the Art of Music label in Europe since 1995. In 1998 they signed with Nuclear Blast Records and released "Dark Hallucinations" in 1999, "Messiah" and "Genesis" in 2000. Their next record "Book of the Dead" will be released April 23, 2001.

Press Reviews Steel Prophet-Dark Hallucination Rating: 98/100Steve Kachinsky and Steel Prophet have been toiling for 13 years nowdoing music the way they thought it should be done and they finallygotten the opportunity to show the whole world what their capable of andboy do they make the most of it. To me Steel Prophet comes across as across between Fates Warning and Iron Maiden, kind of the best of bothworlds. Montag opens the disc and is a great song. Faster paced anddual leads are what remind me of Iron Maiden here. New Life is a littleslower but just as good. Strange Encounter is a great song as well, Ilove the chorus on this one. The Secret is good and We Are Not Alone isanother awesome song. Betrayal, Look What You've Done, Scarred For Lifeand Spectres round out this awesome CD. Nuclear Blast is starting out'99 right where they left off, right at the top of the metal world andthis disc is already a contender for my top picks of '99. [Nuclear BlastAmerica]
