Artist History
Plunky & Oneness has been performing and recording for over 20 years. J. Plunky Branch, leader of the group has produced 15 albums, toured in Europe and Africa, and written songs considered to be classics in the European club scene: "African Rhythms" and "Every Way But Loose."
Plunky was a studio musician for television's "The Cosby Show" and he is a two time recipient of Jazz Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts. The gourp has opened for some of the biggest names in black music, including: Patti LaBelle, B.B. King, The Pointer Sisters, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Najee, and Gladys Knight. They have performed festivals, concerts and one hundreds of clubs and universities in the U.S.. Europe and Africa. |
