Artist History The crew was hard at work through 1998-'99 completing material for their latest full length CD entitled "MMM!!!", scheduled for release in the spring of 2000 in Canada. A teaser 12" vinyl featuring the tracks "Slinky" + "Slurpy" was released last summer, showcasing Kinder Atom's dynamic live techno sound. Both cuts were recorded live to tape, with no digital sequencers or overdubs at their nice+smooth recording studio in Toronto. The tracks received heavy club and radio play around the world, and charted with the Progressive Dance DJ Pool in America.The upcoming album's title track, "Mmm...", is a lush, rolling d&b journey featuring lovely vocals by local chanteuse Genvieve. The track was played out to massive response on dub-plate by KInder Atom's DJ Gerald Belanger in over twenty cities throughout North America and Europe during the '98 and '99Metro Breaks Tours. The track "Illegal", featuring Kinder Atom and reggae superstar Michael Rose (first released on the METRO BREAKS 99 compilation) has been remixed and released by the GREEN MAN of BASSWERK in Cologne, and reached number 4 in the influential DCC charts in Germany in Dec. '99. A full-length CD of remixes is scheduled to be released in Summer 2000. On the foreign front, the Klangallerie label in Vienna is set to release the downtempo + experimental CD, KINDER ATOM vs. RAPOON, a series of collaborations both in studio and via mail with the UK’s seminal ambient composer Robin Story of Zoviet France fame.Kinder Atom's debut CD, ATOMIKA (1995) is a bouncy electro-acid collection of tracks recorded live and in the studio over two years. The follow-up was the double CD digipak opus, SUPER NICE HIPPY PANTS (1997), showcasing the diverse range of styles the band was getting known for through their many live appearances. The group headlined the 1997 Canadian Music Week New Electronica showcase, and on the 15-date US Hypnotic 1997 Summer Tour. On New Years Eve 1998 they shared the main stage at a massive Toronto event which also featured DJ's from top UK acts The Orb and Underworld.Also playing the commercial market these days, you can hear examples of the groups work with sound design and music for last season’s WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) commercials, and in a series of Sony PlayStation spots.

Host of the weekly 'Unfortunate Sonic Casualties" show on Toronto community station CKLN-FM 88.1, on the air since 1990!Christopher Drost-Television producer, journalist, advanced-technology columnist and musician brings techno-savvy and fatherly kharma to the nice+smooth studios.Co-member of techno-industrial band Digital Poodle.Heiki Sillaste-Musician and graphic design superstar with production credits on over 20 albums, as well as handling all design responsibilities for Eric McLuhan's latest book! Founded techno-industrial group Digital Poodle (back in 1987!), and has recorded for labels all over the world including Ninja Tune and Metropolis.
