Artist description Jack the HotRod is a 3 piece rock-n-roll band, built from influences that range anywhere from AC/DC and Janes Addiction, to Johnny Cash. The songs blend an "old school" rock and roll sound, with a uniquely alternative flavor. Don Lemmon (lead vocals & guitar) fronts the band, with not only an energetic and entertaining stage presence, but also with his clear, distinct, voice and lyrics, that leave the audience singing and remembering the songs long after the set is over. Troy Young (drums) and Mark Stein (bass guitar), back up the band with a tight, simple, hard hitting, rythm section. The HotRod sound is topped off with the entire band stepping up to the mic to produce rich, full backing vocals to drill those catchy melodies into the listeners ears. Jack the HotRod has been described as "...sexually charged, southern influenced, rock and roll with a punk edge to it". They perform a solid, driven set, that appeals to many different listeners.
