Press Reviews (1.)ila takes a new look at an old theme... pretending that less is more. Upon first listen, less is more with this band. Listen again and you will find hypnotically driving guitar riffs, most melodious bass lines, drums and percussion not a hair off the bullseye, and vocals not afraid to hook you in or throw you back in the water. ila 's overall sound is like fine, sweet, tasty syrup that you don't want for breakfast... you want it all day. Maybe that makes them such a refreshing sound. Can simple and powerful be used to describe the same thing? I am not saying this is the finest wine I have tasted, but it is worth your time to lend an ear to this altogether independent musical hodgepodge.
