    Artist History
The Saga of “Don’t Call Me Bob” Don’t Call Me Bob is a Reno, Nevada based duo consisting of Chris page and Sean Rold. Relatively unknown, the duo has traveled extensively throughout the western United States playing their brand of “Light Southern Rock”. The duo has been touring on the strength of their first musical compilation entitled “Complicated Simplicity” released in 1992. After five solid years of touring, they are currently on hiatus preparing for their second recording. The Duo evolved from the Reno band “Saddilac” which Chris Page started in the late ‘80s. Chris recruited Sean into the band in 1990 to fill out the three guitar lineup and the two developed onto fast friends. Finding it harder and harder to book a five piece band, Chris and Sean formed the duo to fill out the work schedule, and found that they write and record well together. Chris Page is a native Californian, hailing from the Bay Area. After cutting his musical teeth playing trumpet in Jazz bands, he developed a sogwriting style akin to that of Dan Fogelberg and the Eagles. This style has served him well, acheiving some success in the Northwest with a song entitled “Sail Away” from his first release, “Head”. An accomplished songwriter, Chris has written, recorded, and co-produced several compilations of his own. Sean Rold is originally from Baltimore, Maryland, but grew up all over the West. He has played several styles of music, finally settling on a “Southern Rock” type of playing. After moving to Reno, he held an apprenticeship in a local recording studio and played in several local bands. Both guys play guitar, Chris being of the acoustic genre, Sean, the electric. Chris handles all of the keyboard duties, along with string arrangements and songwriting while Sean handles the extra bass parts and the lead duties as well as mixing and production. As evidenced on the aforementioned recording, both handle the process well.
