Artist description
BluVelvet is a New York City based Alternative/Rock band considered to be a concoction between the Counting Crows, Dave Matthews and the Rolling Stones. Driven by a Slash-like electric guitar and a pleasant acoustic sound, they carry the most addictive and dynamic tunes heard today. Along with a stunning female backup vocalist and an endowed electric violinist, the band has achieved such feats as winning second prize at Garageband.com, one of the Internet's most esteemed music sites, and headlining the 1999 New York Film Festival. After the astounding success of their first single "Hollywood," a former #1 song on MP3.com, the band has released "Drowning Nicolas Cage," a song already dominating Internet download charts nationwide. |

Press Reviews
Blu Velvet exudes tremendous promise...and it’s easy to be hooked by the band’s catchy tunes, harmony, and pleasant acoustic pop/rock sound. You can’t go wrong by supporting independent music should you choose to buy this EP... Blu Velvet might be labeled a savior in today’s rather drab pop-music world." Hollis DuncanRant N' Rave |
