Artist History
The Shallowman Project is currently a one man operation. Formed in Autumn, 1974, the Shallowman Project started of with no abilities or influences. The conception of the Shallowman project was not done so by the original members, but by a man and a woman, a husband and wife, who were in love. 9 months later, the Shallowman Project was born.Although the project was formed in 1974, it bore no fruits until the one and only member of the Shallowman Project started a band in 1991. The band was called the Kitchen Lizards and consisted of all of the Shallowman Project members and a bass player named Scott. From that, all of the members of the Kitchens Lizards and by inclusion and all of the members of the Shallowman Project formed a new band called Bend Sinister in 1992, with the addition of Guitarists Geoff and Craig, and drummer Adam. In spring of 1992, Bend Sinister played their first gig in the auditorium of Columbine High School (yes, THAT Columbine High School).Bend Sinister's next gig was at the Mammoth Events Center (now known as the Fillmore Auditorium). By their second gig, drummer Adam had been replaced bt Alex and Craig had left.Soon after, the band lost bass player Scott and disolved. The Shallowman Project wasted no time, as it's members regrouped and started a new band, The Ann B. Davis'. The Ann B. Davis' had much more success than Bend Sinister and now live in the past of local Denver music.1999 came around and the Shallowman Project began to produce their own independant work. That work is before you. The Shallowman Project's debut, "Super Sleepy Melodies" will be available in Spring 2001. |
