Artist History
Raoul Jacot-Descombes (Vocals), Georges Lozouët (Drums) and Guy de Pourtalès (Bass) are playing together and with several musicians for many years now. Then came Marc Maire (Guitars) and David Martella (Keyboards) to form Soup Of The Day in the beginning of 1998. Since, the band plays its own neo-progressive rock compositions only. The book “The Odyssey”, written by the ancient poet Homere, is the clue of the first seven songs.Between june and october 1999, Soup Of The Day performed on different stages, recorded and mixed a demo CD, and were invited to two radio broadcasts.October 1999, David Martella decided to leave the band for personal reasons. Nevertheless, Soup of The Day continues to write new songs, to rearrangethe actual songs with the new band layout, and tolook for performance possibilities. |
