Artist description
Pulse is a compilation of personal influences, like Silverchair, Guns n’ Roses, Megadeth, Dave Mathew’s Band, Firehouse, among others, being translated into an individual sound that shows interaction between lyrics and music. In resume, Pulse tries to transmitt that music and lyrics can and should interact. It believes that music isn't complete when what's being sung is not the same that's being played. The music, even without lyrics, passes an idea, remembering what said the imortal Beethoven on his beatiful sinfonies. |

Artist History
Pulse, from São Leopoldo-RS, Brazil, was formed in the middle of 1998 by musicians with some experience in the brazilian stages, and, like a lot of other artists, didn't give up when their original bands came to an end. As themselves say: "music is a vicious; but it's so good to be addicted".Pulse is, today, Maccicci and Breno Linus Jr. (guitars); Bio (bass), and the brothers Fabricio Gomez (drums) and Rafael Gomez (vocals).Their first appearence was on the south brazilian stages, in july 1999, featuring their demo tape with 4 songs. Three of their own and one cover. They've played at several alternative gigs, including at Unisinos - an university - to a public of about a thousand people. In january 2000, after a good reception with the first demo tape, Pulse comes back to studio to record a CD containing 4 compositions of their own: Her Secret, Old Fool, Evil Judge and Mud Land. This is just a little of Pulse's feeling. Somehow, music and lyrics must interact. |
