    Artist description
Bliss is sometimes fleeting in the modern world, with its hustle and bustle, commodification and alienation; but there is a place in the heart where things don’t move quite as fast, people remember their neighbors, and the lilting melodies of Mrs. Children serve to assuage the crushing realities, emptiness, and solipsistic guilt that comes from having one’s identity stolen in a hegemonic clash of ideologies. Exclusion is the facilitator of capitalism, but if everyone had everything, what would we have? Portentous I know, but bear with me. Mrs. Children is a dynamic consortium of venture capital investors, each one well equipped to take on the entire spectrum of risk-based asset management strategies. Chris Bolognese (Bass, Senior at OSU) is a former Semi-Pro Hockey player, having spent 4 seasons as a top-scoring wingman for the Brampton Battalion. A skilled rhetorician, he enjoys minor oratories on the finer points of animal husbandry and has a correspondence degree in Eugenics. His daily postprandial activities include categorizing the ineluctable modality of the visible and restoring his family farm (honor?) to its antebellum state. In his free time he disobeys the laws of thermodynamics and eats paste. Paul Headley (drums, Junior at OSU) is the senior member of the group, most recently celebrating his birthday at 27 years young. Headley is known for his amateur fireworks displays, has friends in low places and once went to Ybor City (twice actually, but who’s counting other than Paul?). Headley’s Favorite author is Jean-Paul Sartre, mainly because, in Paul’s words, “Sartre is the distilled essence of post-modern idealism and his juxtaposition of silence with words is unprecedented, not to mention his two-finger curveball, which is without peer.” Joe Peppercorn (Guitar, Senior at OSU) has played in many promising local bands such as Stonevelvet, Watershed, and the Fabulous Bacon Brothers. When he is not working to support his 3 children, Joe sometimes studies English and hunts squirrel with a crossbow. He can eat fifty eggs in an hour and listens to The Cutting Crew. Zack Prout (Vocals) recently graduated a semester early from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. He is currently pursuing a second degree in international politics with a focus on South American (cocaine anyone?) diplomacy. Liam Carey (Guitar, Sophomore at Nationwide) is a simple man, who just wants his peace and quiet, and he would have had it had it not been for you mangy kids! In the meantime, he is making banjos and watching prison movies. You’re sure to dig the sonorous sounds of Mrs. Children, so lay back and pray that you have a strong bladder. “Once you dig in, you’re going to have yourself a good time” -Lenny Kravitz
