Artist History
Loss of Will was formed in November of 1999, by Peter Burke and Jeff Jordan. Although Loss of Will is not the first time this pair has worked together, it has most definitely spawned the best work by either individual. Peter and Jeff worked together previously in a band called Asphyxia where together they provided the musical backbone of the band, with Ashely Caine as the vocalist. Asphyxia played numerous shows while they were together, but just as they began branching out of their region a split was inevitable, as Peter went away to college. For about a year and a half Jeff and Ashley Caine tried to continue the band under a new name, FLAW, but things just weren't going the way they planned. FLAW wasn't a very fruitful project. The band never played out and the one recording that they did make never sold due to a heavy lack of promotion (or just good ol' fashioned laziness). Creative differences began to arise in FLAW too and at this time Peter and Jeff began seeing more of each other. After they heard what each other had been up to they realized that they would still work well together, so Loss of Will (originally DeMeth) was formed. In the past year Peter and Jeff have been working hard on a set that they feel is better than anything else they've ever done. Loss of Will plans to start playing out heavily hopefully in March of 2001. Hope to see you on the road. |
