Artist History
Singer/songwriter, Julie Simon, has been on a musical journey of soul-searching and self-revelation. With infectious rhythms and a melodic lyricism, this NYC-based artist has created in her songwriting and performing a style that is uniquely her own. Julie has grown up in the arms of music. Singing from the time she began speaking, she learned her art from her mother, Grammy Award-winning composer/producer, Lucy Simon and from her aunt, rock legend Carly Simon. As a child she honed her singing, writing and guitar-playing skills among a circle of rock and folk greats, and made her singing debut at age 10 at NYC’s Beacon Theater. Julie has incorporated the influences of her childhood into her songwriting, and yet she is an artist who has truly found her own style. Her most recent shows were at CB's Gallery. Check back here regularly for news of upcoming shows and more. |
