Artist description ALIEN VINYL is an 'industrial' band {for lack of a better term} from Los Angeles, California. Created in 1996 by Randy Hurst, the name ALIEN VINYL, came from a story about the phonograph record being taken over by the compact disc.. 'a strange record' = ALIEN VINYL. Randy started as a drummer at the age of ten. He soon moved on to other instruments; bass, guitar, keys, vocals etc. He writes, performs and records all of his music. While alot of bands create music on computers.. he takes a different approach, by recording most of his songs live with real instruments, then loading into the computer for you all to enjoy...
