    Artist description
They Came From Beyond Space is like nothing you have heard before. Its members have been in a few different bands of a few different genres, but there has always been one unwaver objective: to push the envelope of music. They are sick of music being a self-prepetuating machien, pumping out the same garbage pop album after pop album. Whether they play noise, industrial, metal, ambient or whatever, they just want to do something innovative and creative. The final result is three good freinds coming together to make some disorienting noise that has a good beat. Their ethics are actually more punk rock than anything else, because they have grown up around Long Island's healthy punk scene (Dan has done some remix and production work for local punk bands). They know and care about what goes on in the world, and they believe in political action, unity, awareness, and they have a do-it-yourself mentality. They refuse to use any computers from after 1985, they refuse to use MIDI, and they only use audio sampling. The imperfections that result keep them away fromt he techno, made-in-a-lab kind of sound. The music is real, unique and evil, as music should be. If you don't like it, leave them alone.

    Artist History
TCFBS was founded by Dan Abatemarco and Dave Normandin, and is comprised of them and Tom Moore. Dan and Dave have been playing together on and off since early 1997, and they have been friends since 1993 when they met in school. After several changes tey started Tech-NO!! in late 98, which became TCFBS in late 99 with the addition of Tom Moore on vocals.
    Group Members
Dan: Dan is behind the keyboards, samples, and whatever other machines he can find. He programs beats that are heavy, pounding, and obviously pissed off. He distorts his keyboards by using a guitar distortion pedal or by running them too loud through a filter machine. Aside from playing music, Dan enjoys math and building robots that will, one day, take over the world.Dave: Dave plays guitars thare are sometimes cool metal riffs, and sometimes weird, spacey, effect-laden noises. He also programs beats of a more ambient nature, and synth-lines on a Commodore 64 (one of the first computers). When he is not playing music, Dave enjoys burning tings and reanimating the dead.Tom: Tom is the front man; his vocals are haunting and spooky through various effects, and his lyrics range from politically aware, to deeply personal, to cryptically meaningless. In his free time Tom learns various martial arts, which he uses to subdue people before sucking their blood.
    Instruments
Roland SP-808 sampler, Roland SP-202 sampler, Roland DR-202 drum machine, Yamaha PSR-530 keyboard, Ibanez RX-370DX guitar, lots of stomp boxes from the 80s.

    Press Reviews
Reviewer: Kevin O'sullivan Ok, the makers of this album know not what melody is. It's all about the rhythm man! Th drum beats on this album kick ass. In all seriousness, let's put it this way: this album sounds like a lot of noise put together with just the right beat, and in a good way. Reviewer: Vladia Celestia Kirstenzia Dan is a very talented musician. I remember back in the day when "they came from beyond space" was "tech-NO" and they were good then too!! If you like 'product no. 4' you will be amazed at "they came from beyond space"'s live performace. The robotic sounds are intense and hypnotic and i can't go a day without them. you can take this cd in your bed you can listen to this cd with ted. you can take this cd on a date you can take this cd even if you're late. this cd will get you laid. go for it.
