Artist description
Finally, the kids of StereoPop have regrouped in order to throw out yet another dish of great music. "Give Me that Spooky" will be their first full length album. The album will be recorded at Earshot Music in Florence, KY. It is slated to be released within the first few weeks of January 2000. The album will include new songs, new versions of old favorites, and never before released tunes that were put on the back burner for a while. Be sure to get your hands on it. |

StereoPop (Guitar, Vocals)His influences include Tom Waits, AC/DC, and John Hughes films. Kevin Corneal (drums) Kevin, 21, plays the phunk buckets (or drums for you uneducated few) for StereoPop. Kevin's notorious for possessing the capability to drink beer and keep a beat at the same time. Kevin now resides in Lexington, Ky sharing a crib with several other drunken fools. His influences flow from The Police, Weezer, and Beck Andy Myers (guitar, vocals)Andy, at age 20, is the second guitarist for StereoPop. Andy's career started out in Jolly Roger, a group he helped form in the Seventh grade. He feeds off a steady diet of candy. He recently recorded a solo album at Ram Cat in Louisville under the band name Freddy K. It will also be released on the Medical Records label. His influences are Lou Barlow, Guns 'n' Roses, and Hayden.Mat Pentecost (vocals, other stuff)Mat, also 20, is the lead singer for the quintet. Don't be fooled though, StereoPop and Andy do their share of vox, too. All samples used in StereoPop's songs are accomplished through Mat's efforts. He began sampling movies and cartoons into songs when he was 14. His musical tastes consist of David Bowie, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, and DJ Shadow. |
