Artist History Rina and Ron originally set out to cultivate their separate musical careers. However, as fate had it, Ron introduced Rina to a talent manager who suggested that they write songs. Not too long after Ron visited Rina at work with an old poem he had written, Rina made up a guitar riff and Ron came up with a melody and "In My Dreams" was born. Proud of their creation, they took their act to an open mic gig at school. They received a great response and their musical partnership was ultimately sealed. As of now, the duo is writing and composing new songs to add to their demo, not to mention performing every chance they get. They also may be adding new members soon. The jazz-infused "I Feel," their second open mic hit, is their most recent hit and is ready for download. In August 2000, Soul Lyric entered a month long talent search for Warner Brother's Records and they made it up to the finals performing at the mainstage of the NorVa. Although they did not win, they won over many new fans and their fellow competitors' respect. Determined to keep going, Soul Lyric wrote and completed 2 new songs: There's no me without you and Unanswered Prayer. However, Rina received an opportunity to pursue her other passion in Seattle, musical theater, thus putting Soul Lyric on hold for a time. Rina now resides there with her sister, Ciesther (of mp3.com artists Vortex479) and patiently awaits May 10th, when Ron's flight lands in Seattle to pick up where Soul Lyric left off. It is far from over . . .
