Artist description Born in 1975 in Belgium, Philippe Massart studied piano with Jocelyne Verger and Michel Scohy ; he continued at the Royal Conservatory in Brussel with studies in piano (Diane Andersen), history of music, harmony, musical analysis (Daniel Capelletti) and contemporary music with Michel Lysight.He created works by Michel Lysight (Palimpsestes for piano, Chronographie IV for violin and piano), Paul-Baudouin Michel (Trio for percussion, trombone and piano) and Eric Feldbusch (Terzetto for marimba, trombone and piano). He has also played works of Robert Janssens, Frederik Van Rossum, Steve Reich, Henryk Mikolaj Gorecki...He is an active member of the Ensemble Nouvelles Consonances and took part in concerts for the Festival Ars Musica and the Brussels Summer Festival.His career is dedicated to New Consonant Music.
