Artist description The HAARP UNIT is currently the prog. rock solo project of Brian Vaughan.This band is definitely into the rock side of things,though plenty of other influences can be heard (from electronics to ethnic, & sort of bluesy & jazzy stuff from time to time).But the prog. & psychedelic sounds come through the strongest.This project is very eclectic.

Artist History The HAARP UNIT sprang into existence in late 1997,when I performed a solo concert on KKUP 91.5 f.m. sunday,nov. 16th. 1997 consisting of various pieces of music I had written from 1985 to nov. '97. The broadcast was recorded & I'm using some of the pieces for a live album. I did another radio concert on 4-30-98 at KFJC 89.7 f.m. & recorded this,too.This would help to establish HAARP UNIT as an entity that could play live gigs.Most of the tracks came out sounding good for live stuff (the first studio album will sound quite good from any point of view-studio is easier in most ways).

Group Members Currently Brian Vaughan (founder) is the only member.

Instruments Guitars,bass,synthesizer,electronic & accoustic percussion,mixer,digital effects (looper,delays,pitch shifter,a whole spectrum of other well-known effects).
