Artist History The core lineup goes back to 1987, when we produced a tape recording under the name of FIJI and spontaneously disbanded.The band came out of a deep coma and revived in late 1998 as Y2K Project to strike a balance of what each of us had created for the long years of underground solo work, and to share our innovative thinking, musical and poetic ideas with a wider audience. In 1999 we produced our first CD "Gazin' Into The Abyss" - "He who fights monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche "Beyond Good and Evil", Ch. 4. aph. 146, p102. (1886) - Translation by R. J. Hollingdale. Y2K Project is designed to be more than just conceptual music and poetry, it's an elaborate and sophisticated brew - if anything world fusion, made of our emotions, feelings, sentiments, spirits, experiences, behaviors and attitudes towards our life and time at the border-line between the centuries and millennia.
