Artist History
The Plot: Abaddon is the story of John, a musician and heroin addict, in his last hour of life. After taking a hit of "china white" a deadly form of pure powdered heroin, John's mind collapses in on itself. There he meets his false muse, a spirit known none other than Heroine. As his ever present companion she tries to lull him into giving up his soul to his addiction and his pain, aided by the ever present ramblings of the southern snake-handling "Evangelist," one of her minions, damned for eternity to speak only in scripture for his committed sins. But before the nightmare ends in ecstasy, John is visited by another sprit, Suriel, an angel of presence and compassion and known by most as the angel of Death. The two spirits struggle for control over John's mind and soul, and in classic literary style his decision between two worlds can only in the end be resolved by his own illumination. As John gathers his strength to enter the open arms of Suriel suddenly Heroine's alter ego appears, the Great Angel of the Abyss, of the Bible's apocalyptic "Revelations"... ABADDON. With the stage set for eternal struggle, John weighs his fear frantically and comes to understand his identity and his ancient role in a prophecy he set to writing two millennia ago. So the story comes to its climax... it is ultimately for him to decide his destiny. |
