Artist description
Three Miles Out was launched in January of 1999. This is when the final ingredient of the mix was added. Voll, Knapp, and Corcoran who all had been acquainted with each other over the years from various separate bands, then added Labiento to make everything click. As if catapulted the band then known as "Krush" stepped out onto the local scene engaging on a vigorous show schedule which saw their fan base go from shows of 5 people to packed clubs. With not 1 but 2 lead vocalists that can change lead lines not only from song to song but also within songs, the band has built a fan base of all ages. After a forced name change due to a San Diego based Christian rock band, "Krush" became "Three Miles Out" and continued its pace as if nothing had ever changed. After recording and releasing their first CD, TMO in October 2000 (which is an interactive disc including a video of "Something In The Water") the band has had 8 songs reach airplay in the area; 7 of which entered the top 10. They released their second endeavor, "That's Life" in November 2001 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Cleveland. Along with being a preferred band of many clubs, Three Miles Out has also maintained a strong community base performing for such charities as M.A.D.D. Great American Picnic, Breast cancer benefit, Suicide Prevention Awareness, and various public radio station benefits. Other noted performances include playing at Cleveland Browns Stadium, frequent appearances at the Hard Rock Café in Cleveland, making it to the final round for Rolling Rock's "Battle of the Fans" for Cleveland and writing the theme song for a local TV show. Three Miles Out is all about "Fun with a capital F" as always described by its members. Fun for their fans (old and new), and themselves is a guarantee at every show. |
