She has a Bachelor's of Music from Michigan State University, and was honored with the BMI film scoring scholarship at UCLA. She was chosen to participate in the prestigious ASCAP film scoring workshop, where she composed and conducted a true tour de force action cue at the Fox/Newman scoring stage in Hollywood, CA.
