    Artist description
Yet another White Boy with the Blues and a Guitar... I've played with a lot of bands and -- I'm happy to say -- stayed friends with nearly everybody in all of them. This solo album is more me and my friends than it is me. That should account for some of the very different styles on the various tracks. I tried hard to let people be themselves on this CD -- only fair given that they didn't get paid (unless you count beer).
    Music Style
Blues -- but almost always with a dash of something else... be it rock, funk, jazz...
    Musical Influences
Defenders of the Faith, Muddy Waters, Sara Jordan, Carlos Santana, Scott Robertson, My Cool Mom, CCR, Booker T. and the M.G.s, Doug Anthony, Fela Kuti, Canned Heat, Electroboy, and all those cool people that I have played with at various blues jams...
    Similar Artists
Well, I hope we are similar, anyway... Muddy Waters, Hector Qirko, Albert King, CCR
    Artist History
I played around a lot in my younger days. Blues Jams in Boston, a band in Nigeria, several bands in Knoxville, Tennessee. As I have gotten older and more boring, it has been harder and harder to get out and play with a band on a regular basis. Working with friends in the studio has gone a long way towards keeping me from getting stale.
    Group Members
The mongo cool folks who play on these songs are: Sara Jordan, Mark "Big Organ" Caldwell, Joe King, Labron "LA" Lazenby, "Screamin'" Jim Hawkins, "Pyrotechnic" Paul McQuade, Mike James, Doug Weinstein, Robert Higgenbotham and John Stern. What great bunch of musicians! I love Ya! I'll buy you more beer!
    Instruments
    Guitars, Bass, Vocals, Drums.
