Artist History
The tale of Hooch is a long and boring one... (don't say you weren't forewarned...)
It all began on a summer day, when best friends named Tony and Jamie; who had been playing together for about a year had finally found a drummer. Tony, Jamie, and Sean took out a dictionary and for a reason which isn't exactly remembered chose the name "Hooch". Soon after this, Tony and Jamie's close friend Roland decided he would like to be a part of what was now known as Hooch...and so he did. The four jammed together all but once, and they decided it was time to find another drummer. They called their friend Steven, and again after several jams they were in search of a new drummer. Roland left on good terms, and Zach then joined as a drummer. Hooch were jamming regularly, but Zach decided he would sooner play guitar...and the search for a new drummer began once again. Finally, the band was complete upon finding a drummer named Mark. Hooch played a bunch of shows, wrote a bunch of songs, and recorded a demo CD (which at the time was called an "EP" for some strange reason). Things slowly began to come to a stp for the band in the Spring of 2000 and Tony, Mark, & Jamie played Hooch's last show that summer.
2 years have passed since Hooch have broken up, and alot has changed in my life. I'm actually sort of surprised that the mp3.com page is still up (and at the fact we sucked so bad). None the less, those days spent in Jamies garage and living room have permanantly etched a place in my heart. Although the music was rather crude, I learned alot during that year (including how to play bass believe it or not) which I will never forget. Time moved on, and so did we :)
If you would like to see how Zach and I have changed as musicians, you can visit the hompages of our new bands.
