Musical Influences
The Word of God, The Native Tongues (ATCQ, De La, the JBeez, etc.), Ras Kass, Outkast and Organized Noize, Hieroglyphics, Scarface, UGK, Pharcyde, Tical & ODB, D'Angelo, Erykah Badu, The Roots, DJ Premier - Please don't start judging me because you see all of these secular artists. This is what I listened to before I really got serious about God. And because the majority of these artists are trendsetters in their own right, I can't deny the fact that I'm trying to make music that both the world and the kingdom can enjoy. The message is in the music. |

Artist History
Been rhyming since '86. Been rhyming for the glory of God since '96. Was introduced to Hip-Hop by my older brothers Willie Fressh and Roc-D of Dallas' own FreshRoc Productions. Along with fellow Texan MC K-Cold, they made big noize on the Dallas music scene with songs like "Yellow Hammer" and "Carry Me Away". Also, being affiliated with underground crews such as UKnowWho, Nemesis (Tha Snake, Big Al, Cassanova Rock, and Azim), & Ron C. Both Fressh and Roc worked at K104 and KNON - 90.9. Being that I was around all these musical influences helped shaped my love of hip-hop. When I got to college, I took on my own Hip-Hop Show (SFA: The Hip-Hop Spectacular - Never to be duplicated! :O)) and realized that as God was moving in my life, my love of Hip-Hop was not going to just up and die. So for me this started out as a hobby. That was until, I saw how it started to reach some close family and friends that were not and had no desire to walk with God. From there, the stage was set to begin this ministry to reach out those that might not be interested in attending church, or have no desire to seek God. I'm bringing the Word to you on your level, in your terms. |
