Artist History Well, it all started on April 14 1986 in Stockholm. A little baby was born and he got the name Daniel. Growing up in a non musicial family, Daniel never had any special interest in music. Later in 1997, he met Bazo (Now known as Finess Beats.) in school. They became friends and started do do some basic Dj stuff. Daniel made the tune "Papparazi" and it became a little local hit. Later, in 1998, on a hot summer day in the outskirts of civilisation, Daniel´s life was about to change. He went to this CD store where he was looking around a bit. Then he found a compilation called "Raver´s Night part II". He bought it and listened to it. YEEHAW! This kinda music was GGGRRROOOOVVVVVYYYY!!! Since that day, Daniel has listened to this kinda music EVERY DAY. Then he thought "I shouldn´t be making that basic dj shit anymore! This is what I really want to do!" So, he got Fasttracker 2 (Wich he discovered in 1995 as a little kiddo), and started to make small jingles. After a while Daniel thought it didn´t sound good so he quit. Almost one year later, in spring 1999, "Project Dj Gecko" was started. He learnt a lot more about the music making. Yet, the most important things he learnt was "Bassdrum" and "Distort" :). After a night´s work, he created "Beat This, Basswipe!"; His first real track. He released it on the newly discover site mp3.com. His first few tracks were Rave but later he made "Are You Happy??". A really groovy Happy Hardcore song with that unforgetable jingle... The time passed as he made a few new hardcore and rave tracks. Then, in October 1999 he made "Rave Journey". It was featured for a very long time on mp3.com and came #3 wich led to many, many fanmails. Dj Gecko´s days of fame had started. Then I felt like making some Breakbeat stuff but I don´t wanna mix up my different styles so I put it on this separate page.
