Artist History Betroth's roots actually started in late 1996, during the very short run life of the thrash band 'Self Immolation', in which Corey (Betroth) was the drummer… in the release of Self Immolations only demo tape, Corey included a song titled 'Whisper From A Cloud' on the tape, which was a pure blend of industrial/goth and dark metal. After the demise of Self Immolation, Corey went on to play in the goth band 'Yaldabaoth', and soon after its death started 'Goredeath' a grindcore/black metal band with Adam Cruz… During this time Betroth became dormant, while Corey's every focus was on Goredeath. After the recording of Goredeath's debut album 'Cast Into Darkness', Goredeath has undergone hibernation, with Adam being down south for 3 months… during this time, Betroth has returned from its grave… on a full-fledged journey of very dark and emotional music… All the hurts and rejections of Corey's life are poured into the music, listen closely and you can feel the emotion… please enter into my dark world, and consume my pain……
