Artist History
Cybil's Flea Circus is a three piece Rock and Roll band from Wytheville, VA. The band has only been together for 1 year in its current formation: Mike Alley (vocals &Guitar), Jeff Astin (Bass guitar), Jayson Orr (drums). This band is mainly a spin off of a hobby\project between Mike and Jayson, who had been writing songs and jamming for several years after High school. After a while they began looking for bass players and/or other musicians to jam with. Through a mutual aquaintance they happened upon Jeff Astin who had also just recently relocated to Wytheville via a stint at GIT in L.A. Jeff was the perfect addition to the group and shared a love for the simple rock roots orientation of the songs Mike and Jayson had been writing and jamming. They decided, with Jeff onboard, to go into the studio in the spring of '99 and record a demo CD for help with landing gigs and to basically have a good quality recording of themselves. The songs on this page are from that first studio recording. The band is about to begin work on a new album and a sample will be posted here when it is completed. |
