Artist History
Rockwells were born Halloween 1997 at Johnny's Tavern in Saegertown, PA - which served for some time as a home away from home. All members hail from Saegertown (two dirt road kids & two pavers), graduating high school between 1990 and 1996. Scott remains in Meadville while Jon, Mike, and Justin have relocated to Pittsburgh, where the Rockwells are introducing their brand of dusty dirt-road countrified rock'n'roll to the city folk. The music was recorded in a lofty hilltop barn outside Saegertown, dodging bats and Labatts, self-engineered and produced, self design and manufactured. Our music speaks about small town living, big dreams, barstools, broken hearts, and long nights. We aim to continue building our home studio, continue recording, and continue bringing hip-shakin' homegrown music to anyone within earshot. In the long run, we're looking for the ears of someone who can take us to the next level, and in the short run we're sharing what the music means to us with the folks in the crowd, at least until the lights come on. Give it a listen and you'll hear some of that. |
