Artist description
These piano recordings were captured on cassette tape in the family living room in 1980. During this impromptu session on the family Mason & Hamlin, Bob performed many of his signature pieces, which will be very familiar to family members. Recently rediscovered, these forgotten cassette recordings were restored and committed to a digital medium in the spring of 2000. |

Artist History
A pioneer heart surgeon, inventor of cardiac bypass equipment, author of books on tennis and surgical technique, and maker of violins, Bob Anderson decided -- at age 46 -- to teach himself to play the piano. During many hours of practice in the corner of the family living room, he established an impressive repertoire of pieces by Chopin, Joplin, and others. |
