Artist History
Motor Betty teamed up with producer Don Fury (CIV, Helmet, Quicksand) back in 1999 to record the band's second CD "Redline." The album won the NYC 92.3 K-ROCK Battle Of The Bands, which garnered the band commercial airplay. After being featured on Matt Pinfield's program 'The Buzz,' Motor Betty kicked off the new millennium by playing the infamous CBGB's on New Years Eve. A busy year for the trio, Motor Betty followed up a week of shows in Los Angeles, including the Hard Rock Cafe, with a performance on the Jenny Jones Show's millennium showcase. In July Motor Betty was asked to play the 2000 Vans Warped Tour in New York. Harnessing their fusion of pop, punk and psychobilly, Motor Betty spent the beginning of 2001 recording new material, some ofwhich can be downloaded for free from this site. The new Fox Television series 'College Life' will feature Motor Betty's video 'Why Do You Want' next season. |
