Artist History
Ian Williams is a London based composer who started out in the 80s with his band Beautiful Pea Green Boat, whose ethereal, atmospherc indie-pop was widely acclaimed in Europe and America. More recently, he has been working on a new French 60ssophistipop inspired project called Gamine, whose second single will be released in August. After that, it’ll be just about time to release his orchestronic trance project, Hyperprism, as well as finishing off his new piece for Lebanese choreographer,Joumana Mourad’s dance company, Ijad. This piece, Pas De Cinq, of which excerpts have been performed this spring at The Place and Jacksons Lane Theatre, is the fourth collaboration between Ian and Ijad, and the hybrid Arabic/classical/techno/ambient music has been winning over new fans with every performance. The first two pieces, Chosen Lies and Delete The Bit, collected together on a CD available from Slaughterback, from the artists website.Ian has also scored two short films, one theatrical production and undertaken provate commission. |
