Artist History Rome coast duo Francesco Gambino and Nicola Barbati (27 and 28 years old respectively) met in late 1981.Together they developed the same music taste starting from the Hip-Hop culture and the Electronicgrandmasters like Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and so on. Their love for music pushed them to play musicas fair producers only with a computer Amiga as like Dj’s in some friendly parties. Since in the 1990-91when the Techno music arrived in Rome bringing with it the Rave party culture, they walked into this waylistening and playing records like LFO, Beltram, De Wulf, UR and so on. Their favourite label was thebelgium R&S and buying all the records of this label they knew Aphex Twin. Their music culture wasconvulsed and a new way to see the music was born! With another roman Dj Davide Lombardi theybought a sampler and a digital-analogue synth. The idea of the group called Dynamic Wave born when,in the summer 1992, Frank and Niko recorded their first Dat for a roman independent label but forcommercial problems the tracks never was produced. Why Dynamic Wave? Because, influenced byAphex Twin tracks, the rhythmic of the drum was DYNAMIC while the word WAVE imagined a soundwaveform. A strange imagination really? But this is the consequence to listen a particular kind of music! :-)Finally, after a dark period of about two years, the first EP DYNAMIC WAVE E.P. saw the light on the labelNature of Marco Passarani. The duo increased their little home studio and in the 1995 they produced thesecond EP called AGE IN MOTION on the label Disturbance. After they began to think to play, beyond the turntables set in some Techno parties,a live set too. The first live act was in October 1995 at a party called THE FINAL FRONTIER.The purpose of Dynamic Wave is to follow the Techno style of Rome and spread it around the worldas possible (now they are also on Internet).
