Artist History
Dreamzone 51 was created in late 1999. Initially, Dreamzone 51's music was slow trip hop music, as heard in the beginning of Deep Blue Sea. After an unsuccessful try at getting a singer to work on those songs, Jean-Sebastien Decarie hooked up with another singer, Anji Bee, in early 2000. While they worked together, the ideas kept flowing and the music style changed a little bit. Faced with the difficulties of working long distance, they split apart in late August of 2000. Jean-Sebastien Decarie and Steve Nolan, long time Undernet friends, then started working together on a mix of instrumental electronic music with guitars. The idea behind the early concept was (and still is) to create a "fusion" of music that people not used to listen to can appreciate! The guitars from Steve Nolan creates just the right hooks for people to enjoy the electronic music influence. As it turned out, that concept worked right, because in June 2001, Dreamzone 51's music will be featured in a special documentary called "Reach for the Sky : Inside the US Air Force Thunderbirds", a show that will be aired on over 100 PBS TV stations in the US and in some European countries! The producers loved us! Will you? :) |
