Artist description
Bayou Folk lives and performs in beautiful northern Colorado. Many of this crew have migrated up from South Louisiana in the past decades. Since February 2000, they've been performing their unique, upbeat style of acoustic folk rock, with a Cajun twist, for audiences along the Front Range and in the Rocky Mountains.
In September of 2000, Bayou Folk released their first album "storytellers". The album has a live studio sound and interesting stories for you to delve into. You'll wonder where the woman fell to, why it's important to keep the floor unmarked, and how to break down the defense.
Performing live is the way to catch Bayou Folk. With ear catching lyrics, toe tapping tunes, warm harmonies, and the spontaneity they bring to the stage, you'll want to, as they say in South Louisiana, "pass a good time" with these friends. Don't worry, if you don't know who Boudreaux and Thibideaux are, you'll find out at one of their shows.
Bayou Folk has had the opportunity to work in their own studio, recording all of their present and future CDs as well as share it's energizing space with other local, independent artists. The studio allows the band to be creative at their own leisure and expense in order to deliver their fans fun, empowering, high quality music.
As far as Bayou Folk is concerned, "It's all about creating community through music!" You may find them rockin' a big stage in Denver or out on their front porch with 50 friends. With all the shows, festivals, fairs, house concerts, and intimate settings that they've played in, you can be sure they'll be around for a long time. |
