    Artist History
Would you believe me when I said that Ethan is going to freak out the airwaves and netwaves and completely change the way the music industry works? Probably not, but he sure as hell is trying. Ethan has been making music for 23 years, from beating on his parents’ piano, to playing wacked-out silly rock songs, to smashing his $99 Peavey guitar on stage with six-piece experimental music ensemble. He’s not a musical genius, and not the best songwriter in the world. But he manages to glue your ears to the speakers, and he’s beginning to surprise the music industry’s status quo. After completely failing at piano lessons, Ethan began to start making low-fi boombox recordings. In the 8th grade, he started a wack-ass soft rock band called Gemini, and proceeded to play Phil Collins influenced brand of prepubescent rock. Soon after, he discovered the guitar and more modern recording equipment. After buying a $200 drum set and borrowing as much gear as he could from his friends, he recorded twenty to thirty low-fi rock songs influenced by his favorite bands at the time, Helmet, Fugazi and Quicksand. Sure, the songs sounded like ass, but he was on his way to something bigger and better. His first official release, a 10 song cassette titled "Pelvic Examination," was heard by over 10 people. During this time, Ethan played in a number of meaningless rock bands, a screwed up noise-core band called Squidlaunch, a light rock band, an emo-core band called Esion Table, several experimental music ensembles, and a punk rock band called One Man Show Live. But all along, Ethan has spent his weekends and nights locked in his room writing and recording every kind of music that popped into his head. From straight ahead melodic pop songs to hard-hitting gloom-indie-metal to sample-infested random genre madness. After several failed attempts at releasing other cassettes, including "The Ethan Album" and "Tryptophan," Ethan is making a comeback of sorts and is working his way through the dark tunnels of post-indie rock and into a the collective conscious of American music. So what the hell does he sound like? When Ethan isn’t busy writing screwed up undanceable confusion, he spends his time writing meaningful pop songs and rock n roll mayhem. To use the cliché music industry way of describing a musician: Ethan is like Beck meets Drive Like Jehu meets Mr. Bungle meets Helmet meets Radiohead meets Phil Collins meets Crossed Out. Ethan is just an indie-rock kid gone mad.
