Artist History Ustad Zia mohiuddin Dagar comes of the illustrious Dagar family of beenkars. He was one of the very few exponents of the veena who nurtured, preserved and enriched the ancient art by pure devotion. He was trained by his father Ustad Ziauddin Khan Dagar, a court- musician of the old princely state of Udaipur. He was a visiting lecturer at the University of Weslyn USA 1968-70 and also taught at Washington University Seattle.
