Artist History
The band may be just starting out, but each of its members has extensive experience making music on stage as well as in recording studios. Brain Lusk is a graduate of the Berklee School of Music and was originally a keyboard player, with roots in Depeche Mode and early Pink Floyd. His ambitions to "make it" are unabashed. By naming the band after such a hallowed musical institution, a high watermark has been set. "At Berklee History Of Rock' was a required course," says Lusk, "They taught about the Brill Building. Over the past 10 years or so, I've been in bands with all these cheesy names and I've always been searchin' for the perfect name. I woke up one morning and it just popped into my head. And it was cool because it has a meaning, there's a story behind it. It has a connotation that connects with songwriters, and that's what we're about." |

Press Reviews
"The Brill Building hit the scene like a reverse replay of a casino implosion, a cloud of swirling dust that quickly takes shape as a solid structure. Successfully spreading word of their decidedly accessible music." LEE ABRAHAM City Life Magazine |
