Artist History
FOUNDER MEMBERS DAMIEN AND GARETH MEET EACH OTHER IN THE LOCAL SCUM CENTER(YOUTH TRAINING) IN 97 AND FORMED A GRUNGE BAND CALLED CRYD. THEY PLAYED AROUND SOUTH WALES FOR ABOUT A YEAR BUT THEN THE BAND SPLIT DUE TO MUSICAL DIFFRENCES. THEY THEN WENT SEARCHING FOR A NEW BASSIST AND VOCALIST.AFTER 2 YEARS SERCHING WITH NO LUCK THEY MEET ARWYN IN THE LOCAL PUB AND STARTED JAMMING THEY NEEDED A SECOND GUITARIST AND THE TO MEET RICH "IN THE PUB" AND STICKMAN WAS BORN, THEY THEN STARTED WRITING THE E.P WE ARE NOT AMERICAN. STILL WITHOUT A SINGER RICH WAS LUMBERD WITH THE JOB.STICKMAN STARTED PLAYING OVER SOUTH WALES AND THROUGH THERE LIVE ENERGETIC LIVE PERFOMANCES THY WERE ASKED TO PLAY AT LLANELLI MUSIC FESTIVAL.WHERE THE BAND RECEVED A HUGE RESPONCE TO THERE 25 MIN SET.THE BAND WENT INTO THE STUDIO IN EARLY FEB 2000 TO RECORD A E.P(WE ARE NOT AMERICAN)THE E.P WAS RECORDED IN SIX DAYS AND CONTAINS EIGHT TRACKS. DURING THE RECORDING THE BAND PLAYED THE SWANSEA UNI "BATTLE OF THE BANDS" AND PLAYED A 20 MIN SET TO A PACKED UNI BAR AFTER AN ENERGETIC SET THE BAND TRASHED THE STAGE IN TRUE PUNK STYLE TO THE CROWDS PLEASURE. THE BAND CAME A CLOSE SECOND (NOT A POPULAR DISSION WITH THE CROWD).STICKMAN HAVE BEEN ASKED BACK TO PLAY THE LLANELLI FESTIVAL WITCH THEY ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO AND THEY ARE ALSO BOOKING GIGS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. |
