Artist History
Dallas based band - together for 7 years drawing members from England, Texas and Arizona...
"Displaying their better commands on the foremost turbulent marks of industrial rock and adding to it relentless picks of hard techno style, Skweeg swiftly became one of the top bands on the industrial music scene. Constituting in Dallas in the midst of the '90s, Skweeg combined the efforts of Derek James (bass, vocals), Steve Page (keyboards), and Mikkee (drums). Gaining a reasonable reputation all across the State of Texas, Skweeg also achieved constant airplay on local radio stations, promoting their raging themes on an always larger scale. After releasing their first self-titled record, Skweeg, the trio went on performing numerous live shows and gaining increased recognition. Wattevr, their second full-length, upheld their success, as did Sci-Fi Disk, the crew's third album. "~ M. Júlio Castro, All Music Guide |

Press Reviews
"(SKWEEG)are a tight, heavy outfit with an ultra-modern sound that could well be a glimpse into the near future of heavy metal"-Kevin White,Harder Beat."Like a furnace door flying open, the SKWEEG assualt begins with a homicidal guitar riff that's the perfect introduction to the hellish vocals and thundering, relentless bass that compose this outfit"-Amos Magliocco,Harder Beat."Skwee G may be a bit too much for your wittle bitty ears to take but taken in small doses you can build up those calluses in your ears and work up the nerve to play the disk a little louder each time."-Mike Wilshin,Buzzmonger."There simply is not a more polished, ready-for-the-big-time sounding band in Texas than SKWEEG"-Kevin White,Harder Beat. |
