Press Reviews
"While not as flamboyant as Greg Garing orBR5-49, Burch is in many ways more substantial as a writer, performer, and bandleader. He has quietly assembled what may well be themost solid alt. country band. His WPA Ballclub playswith an almost casual sense of atmosphere andtimelessness: they could just as easily be backingup Ernest Tubb or Bob Wills or Hank Williams."- Chet Flippo, Billboard "Burch is one of the most promisingsinger-songwriters on the cutting edge of countrymusic... (and) not so much alternative as it is asuperb reincarnation of pre-Elvis country music." -Geoffrey Himes, Washington Post |
