    Artist History
Formed in September 1998, mizer has fallen to the fountainhand. Made up of Gary Obaob (vocals), David Barnes (guitars), Atish Mehta (Bass), and James Bowman (Drums), they originally focused on being a cover band. After winning the 1999 Conant Battle of the Bands, they had several memorable performances, including Club Lightning, The Barn, and the Essex Club Block Party. Just before releasing "life is a waste of time..." in September 2001, mizer performed together for the final time at Conant's Senior Breakfast. Their follow-up album was a departure from their earlier material. Recorded during the summer of 2003, "audience of one" featured only original members Gary Obaob and David Barnes, along with session drummer Jonathon Rivera, making the overall sound of the album much more personal. "Plan 9: A Collection of Live and Rare Songs from 1998-2003" was released soon after "audience of one" featuring their award winning Battle of the Bands performance, several live acoustic tracks, and song remixes done by long-time friend Mark Slee, solo-artist Palivacinni.
