Artist History
Originally from St Paul, MN, Glen gained live experience playing in clubs throughout the Midwest.
A later move to Hollywood, California sharpened his skills as a student of Musicians Institute, studying a varity of music from Big Band, Jazz, Odd Meter, and Funk.
Since then, Glen recorded and performed for several headline acts on the Sunset strip including Sudden Impact -an act that won a slot on the KNAC Son of Pure Rock CD. Though performing with great rock bands was gratifying, it didn't satisfy the need to express the passion through his own music. As Sudden Impact faded away, a strong writing team was born with their former guitarist Jon Esler, a graduate now teacher at Musician's Institute.
Currently residing in Southern California, Glen and Jon are hard at work on their new release "Paying for Love" -an Evergreen offering of Hard Rock and Classic Rock with influences from Aerosmith, Zepplin,Kiss, and Van Halen to the GooGoo Dolls, Claptin, Creed, and Matchbox 20.

Press Reviews
Jan 2k2: Review by Endre "Bandi" Hübner AOR Europe http://www.aor-europe.com It's highly unusual that a project runs under the name of a drummer but this is what we get here. Don't be afraid, this ain't no very-artistic-wannabe instrumental fooling around, this is meat and potato melodic hard rock, and very good at that. I'd like to draw your attention to Glen's co-writing partner, Jon Esler, who played all the guitars and bass on the record...the guitar work is just great! The opening "Thoughts of You" starts out with some catchy licks, an overall a great rocking track…The vocals reminding me of Steven Tyler's more melodic moments. "Bye Bye Kelly" could be the "hit" to sell the project to record labels, a mid-tempo rocker with a really catchy refrain melody. "Rainbow" is very close to it too. It has a cool, driving groove, and the vocal melodies are fitted very well on it. Three songs are too few to decide if a project could stand the test of a full length CD but what we can hear here is definitely very promising. Keep an eye on them! |
