Artist History Downand hooked up in Berkeley, CA, in the Summer of 1998, when vocalist Duncan Fisher met guitarist Trevor Rogers in a College avenue cafe. The two hermited themselves in Humboldt County for a year, writing the majority of the first CD in a hedonistic, alcohol-induced stupor. Their triumphant return to Berkeley and the addition of two rowdy new members rounded out the ensemble and signified the official launch of downland.
