Artist History
Derevaun Seraun began in fall of 1996. Jay and Mario couldn't find a rock drummer to complete their rock band, so Mario picked up the acoustic guitar, Jay stuck with the electric bass, and they soon added Robin on violin. They played shows intermittently for the next year, finally getting down to buisness in fall of 1997. In May 1998, they released their debut e.p., "Recital" recorded live at a local recital hall. They played shows throughout the summer of 1998, and broke up in August when Jay and Mario went to college. In the fall of 1999, Mario wasn't doing much performance-wise, so he called up Robin and bassist Brock Hamel and put the group back together. Unfortunately, this incarnation was their last, as Mario left Minnesota to attend Oberlin Conservatory of Music. They released their final CD, "At the Terminus"""" " |
