Artist description
Crambone is a NY based four piece that holds deep roots in varous genres of music. Like a Long Island Ice Tea, Crambone has a unique blend of undetected aromas, one part funk, two parts hard-core, a touch of hip-hop and a splash of metal. The foursome comes onto the scene with no gimmicks, no trends, and no side tracking events to make your eyes and ears stray from the reason we listen in the first place and that is the music. With a tough scene in NYC for live bands, Crambone fills the room with earth shattering energy and musical professionalism undisputed by many of the acts that perform beside them in popular venues. The material itself is extremely versatile and has something for just about anybody that likes music. The shows have proven to turn ravers into thrashers and the elderly into break dancing folls as no two tunes are alike. The band itself is suprisingly clean-cut. These ex Wall Streeter's are rarely angry or macabre as most of the material is happy and upbeat. Crambone can be seen performing in all of the popular venues in NYC CBGB'S,Brownies,Arlene's Grocery,Coney Island High, Spiral Lounge, ACME Underground,Mercury Loung, Luna Lounge, Baby Jupiter etc. They have performed live on the Internet on Online TV and The Digital Club Network. They are very popular out on Long Island as well and are starting to venture out into that Northeastern cities and suburbs (Philly, Baltimore, Boston etc.) They have been getting great reviewsin the local NY publications. A recent review in Long Island's Good Times compared the band to, 'The Red Hot Chili Peppers on steroids..." Crambone will be seen this summer on The Long Island Music Fest and CMJ (2000). Their first full length LP entitled, "Go Getcha Shinebox" was completed in March 2000 and released under an independent label, "Groove Stomp Records." The album includes most of the bands styles wrapped up into one compilation. The album was produced by Paul Katz and Crispy Chicken at COOP Studios (Freeport NY) and mastered by Billy Graziadei of Biohazard at Rat Piss Studios (Brooklyn NY). The band is manages by Shannon Jude at Pixxie Dust entertainment and can be checked out on the web at www.crambone.com. |
