Artist History
The year is 1999. The story of CLIP begins in the town of Springfield Massachusetts where a small group of friends decide that the music scene was in need of something different. Taking matters into their own hands, CLIP is quickly formed. With a vast musical history and the knowledge of well seasoned professionals, the members of CLIP had plenty of experience to back up their ambitions. Some of them came from different bands and others from different musical backgrounds, but they all shared one main goal in common. The desire to create a band that would brutally assault the senses and bring out the primitive anger in all who dare to listen. The original vision of CLIP was to make music that would ride the line between ultra-heavy and "radio friendly". After trying to balance the bands roots with a more "mainstream" sound, CLIP needed to grow. Soon it became aparent that in order to capture the true sound they were after, the music needed to evolve. Without the confines of trying to fit a certain category of music, Clip was free to grow into something bigger, something darker, and much heavier. The bands musical influences vary from down and dirty rock to the chaos of sound spawned from the underworld of death/black metal. From bone-crushing beats to the thick chunk of the guitars, from the thunderous bass to mindblowing vocals, CLIP has become a sound all their own. Driven by rage, bloodthirsty, and out to destroy, CLIP has been let loose upon the world. |
