We play original blues/rock with elements of hendrix, Winter, beck and Vaughan, but mainstream influences such as the Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, and even the Beatles are present as well. We cover songs by such blues greats as Freddie King, Albert King, Howlin' Wolf, Elmore james, Little Walter, and B.B. King, and the last song on the cd is a solo jazz guitar piece influenced by Pat Martino. |

Artist History
Andy Aledort (gtr, voc) has played in a variety of bands in the NYC area for 25 years. His first band began playing live in 1974, and performed 30 hendrix songs, along with material by beck, Trower, Winter, Zappa, etc. Andy has performed many different styles of music as a leader and as a sideman, including blues, rock, pop, country-rock, punk, new wave and jazz. Andy and bassist Paul Apostolides began playing together in 1983 in a Chicago blues band. Andy Aledort & the Groove Kings formed in 1994 and released their frist cd,"Put A Sock In It," in 1999. The band continues to play all over the tristate area. |
