Artist History Ærik and Brian have been making music together for over 10 years. Their recent past efforts were in MadWatch, which gained attention and airplay in Milwaukee, and in Internal Use, an early incarnation of 1881 which helped pave the way for 1881's present sound. Paul has previously been a solo artist and continues to be as his alter-ego, jAPE. His music can be found here on mp3.com as well. 1881 received a Wisconsin Area Music Awards nomination for "Best New Band" in 2001, and has been included in local music compilations and featured in several publications.
